Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?
  • Very important question to ask. The only way to know for sure is to come in for a session. Most people have a good sense of whether I am the right professional to help them within the first two sessions. Its important to have a good relationship with your therapist as there is a direct correlation between this and overall success in therapy.
What can I expect from therapy?
  • Once you have made a decision to see a therapist, you still might be apprehensive about the process. Many people feel nervous before their first appointment. Therapy is a shared journey; a shared process. And, although you and I will travel together, it is ultimately your journey and you will make your own decisions.
  • I do not have answers to all your concerns, but I do have the ability to listen carefully and will ask thoughtful questions. Your answers to these questions will help shape the direction of our work. You can expect to be respected.

Can we meet virtually? Do you provide online counseling?
  • Yes, we offer telehealth sessions to make therapy more accessible and convenient. Sessions are held through a secure, confidential video platform, allowing you to connect from wherever you feel most comfortable. Telehealth provides the same supportive, high-quality care as in-person sessions and can be a great option for those with busy schedules or limited transportation.
What theoretical approach do you use?
  • I pull from a variety of theories and techniques. I find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, ClientCentered Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques are often helpful for my clients.
What are your session rates?

$150 per session. Payment will be collected at the time of service.

Are insurances accepted?
  • Yes. We accept Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Lucet, Cigna, Humana, Florida Blue, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so we recommend verifying benefits with your insurance provider prior to your first appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
  • Your time and commitment to therapy are valued, and we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur an $80 fee. We appreciate your understanding, as this allows us to offer timely access to other clients in need of services.
